Model Pendekatan Ekonomi Sirkular Upaya Mengelola Sampah Plastik Untuk Kesehatan. Sebuah Tinjauan Sistematis

Abstract


Penipisan sumber daya dan meningkatnya produksi sampah per kapita menjadi ancaman bagi kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Ekonomi sirkular dipandang sebagai pendekatan penting untuk mendorong pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui pengurangan penggunaan material baru, minimisasi limbah, serta peningkatan kegiatan penggunaan kembali dan daur ulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara penerapan ekonomi sirkular dan pengelolaan sampah terpadu terhadap kesehatan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka sistematis berbasis PRISMA dengan pencarian artikel melalui aplikasi POP 8 dan Rayyan pada basis data Scopus, Sciencedirect, PubMed, dan SpringerLink untuk periode 2013–2022. Dari 14.680 artikel yang teridentifikasi, sebanyak 10 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ekonomi sirkular merupakan model terbaru dalam pengelolaan sampah terpadu masyarakat. Pengelolaan sampah yang tidak tepat meningkatkan risiko penyakit tular vektor, seperti demam dan chikungunya, terutama bagi masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar area pengelolaan sampah. Kegiatan daur ulang dan pemulihan sumber daya mendukung implementasi ekonomi sirkular, khususnya di negara berpendapatan rendah dan menengah.Kesimpulannya, pengelolaan limbah yang ramah lingkungan diperlukan untuk mengurangi timbulan sampah dan dampak perubahan lingkungan. Model ekonomi sirkular direkomendasikan untuk pengembangan kota besar guna menciptakan pekerjaan yang lebih aman dan mendorong keberlanjutan.
